The four elements are Air, Water, Earth, and Fire.
Their names are Astir, The Phoenix, The Green Man, & Leo.
The four elements represent fundamental aspects of the World, both physical and spiritual. Each element has associated qualities, characteristics, and symbolic meanings.

The four elements have been associated with other names throughout history. Some of those names include the fixed signs of the Zodiac, Archangels and the four writers of the four Gospels. Some of the words used to describe them are:
- Air – Yellow, (Taurus), Astir, The Ox, Uriel (Opposite is Earth).
- Water – Blue (Scorpio), BNW, The Phoenix, John, Gabriel (Opposite is Fire).
- Earth – Green, (Aquarius), Rafael, The Green Man (Opposite is Air).
- Fire – Red, (Leo), The Lion, St. Michael (Opposite is Water).
- In early Buddhism, the four elements are the basis for understanding suffering and for liberating oneself from suffering.
